ProX C66DB Disc Brake Carbon Road Undulating Wheels - Premium Carbon Spoke Wheelset
Considering the hight price of lightweight carbon spoke wheels in the current market, ProX has developed the affordable undulating wheels with carbon spokes. We can't promise it's the cheapest wheels in the market, but excellent quality and reasonable price.
Reliable quality C66DB hubs made by well-known Taiwan hub manufacturer. It's with straight pull spoke system and 2:1 (that is 14:7) spoke ratio for both front and rear wheel. 2:1 spoke ratio provides better strength balance between drive side and non-drive side. The hub shell is made of premium #7075 aluminum alloy and shaves off at the position in the middle, which helps for better aerodynamics while riding. The weight of hub is only 298g/pair which is really light on weight. Hubs are designed with Ratchet 54T freehub system which improves power transfer efficiency, combining with ceramic bearings, the rolling resistance is minimized. Such hubs help you to shorten acceleration time and save energy. For the C66DB hubs, the additional ring has been added to fix the bearing. This design is for the front drive side and rear hub non-drive side. What's more, we also extend the length of end cap to get the bigger area to connect the hub. All of these is to provide a stronger hub and more stable riding experience.
The unique carbon spokes (only 2.9g/pc!) is customized. Such carbon spokes (model CS1) is lighter but stronger than regular steel spokes. The carbon spokes look similar as regular spoke, except for the carbon fiber material and ultra light weight. The weight of our CS1 carbon spoke plus specific aluminum nipple is only 3.2g, which is about 1.8g lighter than well-known Sapim CX-Ray spoke with nipple. More than anything, the carbon spoke provides both higher stiffness and better fatigue life compared to the traditional steel spokes.
For 26mm wide Undulating Road Disc series rim, it is in two depth option of 45/50mm and 53/58mm. For 28mm wide rim, the varied rim depth option is 30/35mm, 45/50mm and 60/65mm .This design is for better aero performance and crosswind stability. It allow the riders to handle the bike better especially in the wind. The rim has a hook bead design and is tubeless compatible. Tubeless tires can make a good performance at lower tire pressure for reduced rolling resistance and contribute to all out speed.
Standard weight version (without "SL") carbon rim is made from Toray T700 carbon fiber which is the basis to make high strength bike carbon rims. The max rider weight limit is 120kg/265lb.
Super light weight version (with "SL") carbon rim is made from premium Toray T800 carbon fiber to achieve super light weight, which is more suitable for lighter weight riders (max weight limit 100kg/220lb).
Such new undulating rim depth carbon rims help to minimize wind drag and improve stability in crosswinds obviously. It will bring you a faster and more confident riding experience.
ProX decal/logo is offered for free as showed in ProX decal page. The decal will be applied on the rim and do the matte or glossy finish according to customers' preference. You can choose either with such gold ProX decal or simply without decal (UD black matte or UD black glossy finish).
In addition, C66DB hubs can be made with your customized logo (either etch logo or make stickers). So it will become your own brand hubs!

Light Weight By using well designed lay-up structure, mixing Toray T700 and T800 carbon prepreg, light weight carbon rims are created. Excessive materials are eliminated to save weight, while extra materials are added around spoke hole for reinforcement. So, light weight is achieved without compromise in strength or stiffness. |

Wide Inner Width Relatively wide 19mm/21mm inner width, make it possible to fit multiple sizes of tire. Normally road tire size 700x25C and 700x28C are recommended (also fit other wider tires).
