UD/3K/12K(Customized Decal Acceptable)Generally, gravel bike rim is something between Road and MTB rims. If you plan to make your gravel bike closer to Road bike (use tire smaller than 700*50C), our 700C gravel bike carbon rims are recommended.
However, if you want to make your gravel bike closer to Mountain bike (use wider tire than 2.0’’) and is also able to be used for XC riding, our 29er and 650b gravel carbon rims (in this page) are recommended.
ProX 29er and 650b gravel bike rims are designed with 30mm outer width (same as most MTB XC carbon rims), and are able to fit 29er*2.0''-2.4'' (or 650b*2.0''-2.4'') tire.
Apart from bead hook models (PCX930, PCX730), we also offer hookless models (PZX930, PZX730) which is closer to MTB carbon rims. For riders who plan to use gravel bikes more like a MTB hardtail bike, and will use tubeless tire at lower tire pressure (not exceed 60psi), hookless is a good option.
For riders who plan to use gravel bike more like a road bike, and prefer higher tire pressure (max 90psi), bead hook is recommended.
According to our sales record, PZX930 (29er, 30mm width, hookless) gravel carbon rim is most popular with our customers.
Wider and higher gravel carbon rims help you to go further, have a longer adventure journey and have more fun.
There is a mixed-wheeled bike, known as the "mullet."
Mullet typically has a 29er wheel in front and 650b in the rear, which changes how the bike handles. 29er wheel have better rollover speed and is easier to overcome obstacles. 650b is a modest size which fits better for not tall riders. More importantly, it accelerates faster and is more nimble in corners. Mullet plays on the strengths of each and hit the sweet spot between two of them.
Are you looking for a compromise between 29er and 650b? Though mixed wheel size is far from getting common acceptance, but it did promote the ride quality generally.
If you like snappy and playful gravel riding, but don't want to give up the rollover of a big size, mullet is your answer.

ERD*
Effective Rim Diameter (ERD) is the maximum distance that spokes need to bridge going from one end of the rim to another. How do we calculate the ERD of our rims? The corresponding equation and a drawing is as shown:
ERD=OD-(rim depth)*2+(rim thickness)*2
For example:
ERD of PCX930 rim=633mm-36mm*2+3.5mm*2=568mm
Most people prefer ERD including the length of the nipple cap. However, customers may use different nipples and components for building. Please add the height of the nipple cap(2.5mm~3mm generally) for your spoke calculation. If the height of the nipple cap is 3mm, then ERD of your PCX930 rim is 568mm+3mm*2=574mm
A: Rim nipple bed thickness (=3.5mm)
B: Length of nipple cap (2.5mm~3mm generally)

Carbon Fiber Material Premium Toray T700 + T800 carbon fiber are used in our carbon rims. Combining with stable resin system to make consistent quality and light weight carbon gravel bike rims.
|
|
Light Weight By using well designed lay-up structure, mixing Toray T700 and T800 carbon prepreg, light weight carbon rims are created. Excessive materials are eliminated to save weight, while extra materials are added around spoke hole for reinforcement. So, light weight is achieved without compromise in strength or stiffness. |
|
Wider Inner Width
Wider 24mm/25mm inner width, are able to fit 2.0''-2.4'' wide tires. Wider stance for tire, easy tire mounting and dismounting. Better traction and cornering performance.
|
|
Aero U Shape Wide U Shape carbon gravel rims are more aerodynamic than traditional V Shape gravel bike carbon rims. Besides, the stiffness and strength are also much better.
|
|
Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tire is widely used in gravel bike carbon wheels thanks to its better traction, lower rolling resistance and better riding comfort. All our gravel carbon rims are tubeless ready (also fit normal tube tires), no matter bead hook or hookless model. Optimized anti-burp bump design provides easy tire mounting, dismounting, as well as air inflation. |
|
Disc Brake
Disc brake provides more sensitive and precise
braking performance than rim brake. All our carbon gravel rims are designed for disc brake use, no brake track. No “burning rim” worries during braking. Specific carbon prepreg lay-up design for disc brake rims, longer durability and lighter weight.
